Iron-rich sandstone does not take color the way other stone does. It holds a pigment halfway between earth and ember — darker than terracotta, warmer than brick, never orange, never really red. You see it in the slot canyons north of Page. In the walls of the Grand Canyon an hour before sundown. In the small quiet gorges of northern Sonora that don’t show up on any map.
That is the color of this tee.
Garment-dyed so the tone sits unevenly across the fabric — the way oxidized stone catches different light on different surfaces. Heavy cotton with a ranchwear drape. Chain-stitched at the heart in thread chosen to age with the shirt, not against it. Single-stitch hems so the sleeve rolls the way old American blanks used to roll, before the industry optimized the detail away.
Wear it on the long drives between canyon country towns. Wear it on the porch after the sun leaves the wall. A shirt for the hours when red rock is the only color left.
